Customer success story for food sorting and inspection

19/04/2016

Tomra Sorting NV uses a custom-made InGaAs detector for food inspection and sorting based on the Xlin detector series.

Automated food inspection systems based on sensors for the visual, shortwave infrared, UV and X-ray realms have become a major field of application for advanced imaging systems and (infrared) cameras.

The goal is to ensure quality, freshness and appearance of fruits, vegetables, grains and meat.
